Happisburgh Kids Stuff Guide

Check out our other visitor guides, but if you specifically want kids stuff to do there is quite a bit to do locally for the little ones. Particularly if you’re there for longer than a few days you might want alternatives to the beach. There is a small park and climbing frame near the community centre, as well of course as the playpark and zip line by the beach, and don’t forget the lighthouse tours.

Once you’ve exhausted that there’s the seals at Horsey, stop off ay Waxham barn on the way for that essential coffee (for you, not the kids). If the weather’s not great, head over to North Walsham for soft play, a bowling alley and yes that vital ingredient again for you, coffee!

Kids will of course love boating on the Norfolk Broards, from Wroxham - about 15 mins from Happisburgh. As if that wasn’t enough there is still more not too far away, you have Bewilderwood, which is a huge woodland adventure playpark. There’s also the Hoveton miniature railway nearby.

Still not enough? OK. Jump in the car again and as well as a huge number of beaches all along the coast, you have Norwich airport museum home to a dozen or so historic jets including a Vulcan bomber you can climb inside, you also have Dinasour land the other side of Norwich. Not forgetting the historic city itself complete with the castle twin of William’s white tower of London.
